Break in the relationship

Dear all, I would like to get some advice on my situation. Me and my bf are together for over 2 years and due to some issues in the relationship, I proposed taking a break for a month to concentrate on our lives and figure out what we want. I am really not interested in meeting new people or try to move on while on break. I just want to see how I feel without constant anxiety and relationship stress. But now It feels so lonely. I feel like I don’t really have a life of my own, and everything feels empty. Before, I always had him — his calls, his messages — and now there’s just silence. The thought that he might meet someone else during this break makes me more anxious and makes me doubt my decision. But I also know that we need this time to see how what this relationship means to us and how much we want to commit to it in terms moving in together, marriage and so on.

You cannot control what he does during this break. You can control how you respond. Focus on being someone who can be whole alone that’s the most attractive, unshakable version of you.

watching your life from a third-eye perspective,

You can notice what you truly need, not just what you’re used to having, You can evaluate the relationship objectively what nourishes you, what drains you, and what you’re willing to commit to.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like the break you and your partner agreed on has brought up a mix of emotions, including loneliness and anxiety, as well as reflections on your relationship and future plans. You’ve described the situation clearly, highlighting both the need for space and the challenges it brings. It seems that this period of separation is a significant moment for both you and your partner, allowing space for reflection and consideration of your relationship’s next steps.
