Demasculating?

Hi community and thanks for your time :)

So over the last few days, my anxiety has been replaced by a lust for life and a striving for independence and working on my issues

Today, my best friend (male) and my boyfriend have 'dumped' me, saying that 'my personality has changed' and 'I'm not the person they used to know'

I feel like I'm being punished for finally standing on my own two feet and facing my problems.. is this something other people have experienced?

I cant think of anything I'm doing differently other than being honest.. :(
