Falling out of love
Just a couple of days from today, my boyfriend finally told me that he no longer feels the same way the way I feel for him. He doesn't love me enough anymore and has been hiding his feeling for a long, long time already.
I wanted to know if there is still hope getting the old flames back? We've been together for 9 years already and I am already decided that if proposes to me, I'll surely say yes! I really love him so much and don't know what to do :(
@confuzzled14 There is still hope. You could talk to him and see what he has been through that changed his mind. If he still doesn't love you, then you have to move on. Learn some coping skills.
@confuzzled14 kinda went through the same thing in 2018 the spark after about 9 months went away and i broke up with him not really in any rush to find anyne right now due to covid but hopefully next year ill find someone nice Good luck to you.
The initial rush does go away, that’s super common. But if it’s been gone a long time maybe there wasn’t enough love in the beginning to sustain the relationship. This is how I felt but I married my boyfriend anyway because he told me I did live him enough. I say accept your boyfriends feelings and don’t try to make him feel different or tell him he does love you enough. One day it won’t be enough for either of you. Don’t wait to figure it out until you e been married for 15 1/2 years and you’re trying to make the heartbreaking choice to get divorced because you never lived him enough but got married anyway. Don’t do that to your boyfriend—or yourself. Good luck!
