So I was in love with my ex but he was making me lonely and miserable. He would leave me for days without talking. I got tired of it and left him. Now I feel so guilty like maybe I should of hanged on. Because it's so hard to forget him and everyday I feel so depressed about it.

If you had hanged on, it was endless loneliness and misery, atleast now you can move on and have a better life

Think about how you would feel if you were still with him or if you got back with him—how would that feel emotionally, mentally and physically? I’m about to separate from my husband of 15 1-2 years because I feel alone as well and don’t enjoy our time together and he does not show interest in me. I don’t imagine things getting any better because it’s just his personality. I know I will be depressed when I end it. I will always love him as a good father to my kids, a great sexual partner and good times, but not as someone I can’t live without. I imagine I can live without him because I won’t have to pretend to be happy anymore. I will rather feel alone when I am actually alone than lonely when he is there but not participating in our relationship. Good luck!
