Give up or give in?
Hello, I just want an opinion on which way is best; to give up or give in?! I'm in a relationship where unfortunately I'm never listen to. Always ignored willing and unwillingly. I've tried to speak about this particular issue, but of course it doesn't work because the main issue is not being listened to. If I say this is hurtful, the answer has been:" they're just feelings, it'll go away".
You are owed better, and you will find better :)
You deserve better...... ain't nobody got the right to abuse you this way it's totally mental abuse!
Thank you very much ❣️. It's tough when I'm trying to fix it or to stay more quiet, maybe then,...bc this person is not a bad person ,is a good parent, and I basically keep thinking maybe I'm able to help this person get in touch with emotions; but at the same time it keeps coming to me that I won't be able to help someone who doesn't believe what they're doing is wrong.
“Just feelings”—WOW!!! Not cool!!! Feelings are sooooo important and should be acknowledged. Not listened to AND ignored? Where is the relationship in that? It’s not a relationship if he can’t even participate in a conversation or care how you feel!
And I get the he’s a good parent thing. My hubby is too. It makes it hard for me wanting a divorce after 15 1/2 years being married. I’ve asked him for more emotional connection but that’s just not who he is. He is content to veg in front of the tv. He can’t hold a basic conversation beyond work or his hobby. He doesn’t ask to spend time with me. He doesn’t plan dates or time together or family time much. When we are together I want to talk and he just doesn’t. He doesn’t need that. He h sweats s my feelings and tries but it’s never enough. I’m hoping if we get divorced we can still have a good parenting relationship but I can be happy alone or find someone else eventually who will want to be a full participant in a true partnership.
