How to trust again.

Within a 6 month period I lost the only two men in my life to dishonesty and manipulation. My father chose to walk out of his family’s life without an explanation or goodbye. I later found out he was living a double life and lied to his children for many years. I leaned in for emotional support to my boyfriend of almost 6 years. I had realized that he too was lying and living a double life on social media. While our relationship was not the best, I always wanted to find a way to make things work with him. When I confronted him all he could do was look me in the eyes and lie and turn the blame on me. I had to walk away even when I didn’t want to. I’ve been doing some healing and learning to trust but it’s just so hard when the two men in my life that I knew both lied to me.
