I can’t talk with my mom
My mom dosen’t listen well she likes to talk. She likes to tease a lot and it hurts everyone else. She’s sick a lot and sleeps most of the time. When I try to talk to her she ends up going on long rants about her life. I can never get a word in. When I try to talk to her about something important she never takes me seriously and sees me as a little kid, she often uses the “ you just a kid you don’t know anything “ line. And that makes me mad. She wasn’t around much when I was growing up, she was usually asleep. I have Sever anxiety and it makes it worse that I have no one to talk to. Am I being over dramatic?

You're not being overdramatic, I understand we want our parents to acknowledge us or see us as an adults, all we can do is be better than them for our future kids or our self.
We can't force them to listen.
And I know having someone like a parent listen to your rants or just have a normal conversation with
is way better than someone else.
But you still got us.

I am so sorry to hear that you never had the mother/daughter relationship you wanted and rightfully deserve. Do you have other family members you can talk to? I never had close relationships with my parents and had to build relationships with mother and father figures. You can meet them through friends, community, neighborhood, church or even here.
