I feel like my relationship is broken and I don't know if it can be fixed

I've been married for a long time and ever since than I have known that my partner is polygamous. I have never been comfortable with being in an open relationship like that. In all the years we were married we never had a conversation about it. Due to the global pandemic we had to spend the better part of last year apart. I came to find out that during that time she had started a long distance relationship with an old friend without telling me. My partner didn't tell our friend that it was going on in secret, they thought I had been aware and approved the whole time. I understand my partner's fear in telling me and I have no intention to ending our relationship. I love them even with this massive pot whole in our relationship. Ultimately I feel betrayed and broken. I want the three of us to work out, I just always feel like I was the odd man out.

I must say u r really extremely empathetic and kind as a person as it is being reflected from your words . I think u must let your partner know that u r not comfortable in an open relationship and conversation is really important for a healthy relationship! U seem to be more understanding so I think u should also be vocal about your likes , dislikes, comfort and other things As u want stuffs to work out . On the other hand u told about feeling betrayed and broken so u need some self care and feel nourished because nothing is going to be sorted out whereas u r broken from inside so at first reconsider again what u want and deal everything utmost calm and patience and know that your happiness matters most so take decision prioritising that . Sorry if my words seemed to be interfering . Peace:)

Hi, it seems that you are not ok with your partner being open and this is causing you distress. A warm conversation with him in which you can express your true feelings about the matter can be eliberating, so i strongly encourage to have it. I don’t know the whole situation

but from your message it seems that you didn’t had other relationships while you’ve been married, so you may also be feeling betrayed because of that. Try to think how it makes you feel knowing that he is seing other persons and try express that to him. Lots of love!🤗
