Insecurities

Hello... I've never posted on here but no sure who to ask. There's a guy I really like, we've been boyfriend/girlfriend for the past four months but something seems off recently. He still texts good morning every day and saw him fairly recently but lately he's been spending the weekend with friends out of state or camping and feel "left out" in a sense. How do you know when something is different, and insecure that your doing something wrong or not enough?

Go with your intuition. It’s usually right. You could also ask him about it. It might be what he’s always done and doesn’t realize how you feel. If you still feel something isn’t right - your instincts usually are.

Okay so first off, I want to reassure you that it isn’t you. Sometimes I think we worry in relationships that we aren’t doing enough. But I think people who truly aren’t doing enough don’t recognize that. Therefore, just by acknowledging those feelings leads me to believe you’re doing everything you can. However, maybe your boyfriend is getting out of the honeymoon stage faster than you are. Therefore, he may not be sure how to deal with that change in the relationship, so he might be a little distant. Not that it is a good thing. It just might be the way he is processing what he is feeling. But don’t think that this is your fault or anything you have done. Every relationship goes through this. However, I think this is something you should bring up to him. Just let him know that you have noticed a change in the relationship and that you want to work through it. I think it would be good if you communicated your feelings to him because at that point, you at least let him know how you are feeling. If he doesn’t respond to that, that isn’t your fault. Keep in mind that whatever he does isn’t your fault, nor is it something you can control. I think it would be in your best interest just to let him know what you are feeling so it doesn’t become a burden on your mind. I promise though, you are always enough, and don’t ever question that.
