Hello all,

I am not sure where to write this. I am desperate for help, though.

I met a man online about 6 months ago. I wasn’t looking for a relationship. We became obsessed with each other quickly. After months I found out he had a girlfriend. Now I’m so involved and I don’t know how to get out of it. We have a DDlg relationship which I’ve never had before (neither has he). We have both tried to stay away from each other, but we can’t. His girlfriend has found out about me numerous times. I feel terrible. I don’t want to be this person, and I don’t want to want him anymore. I have tried everything to move on from him. I know people will say if he can cheat on her, he will cheat on me. I’m aware. The toll this is taking on my mental health is unbearable.

I don’t know what to do.

thanks.

That sounds very heartbreaking. To know someone you adore so much turns out having a gf. God, I can’t help but blaming that guy. He’s already has a gf why would he still having relationship with you? That just very irresponsible. I’ve been in a ddlg before too and I understand the attachment you would had is real and VERY obsessive. I’d cry even with the slightest lack of attention. And in your case that guy have another girl when I should be the only baby? I really would be very angry and felt cheated.

To escape that space is not easy, I acknowledge that. But honey.. he’s not good for you T_T and I know you know that already..

I’d like to suggest some things that you can do. The first thing would be to claim your power. You’re a grown up, capable of taking care of yourself. I know being taken care of, loved and babied like a little girl you are is very comforting, soothing, but actually you can give all of that to yourself. You can read about inner child in you and try to meet her needs. You are capable of taking care of yourself. You are a strong woman. Being weak is fine, but obviously, not with this guy.

Second would be to do things like cutting off someone from your life, such as cutting contact and stuffs.. It is not easy, of course, I know that so much T_T but try to prioritize peace in your life. Nothing in this world worth deteriorating your mental health. Whatever you choose to do, ask yourself. Is it good for your mental? Prioritize yourself. Love yourself so much.

The last resort would be find a replacement. Distract yourself with someone else. You don’t have to stay loyal with such guy. You deserve better. At least someone that is single.

I hope you can find your power, and give the little girl in you all the love she needs by yourself. Reparent yourself. I believe you can do this! It’s hard, REALLY hard I know! But if you need strength and support, talk to someone that love you, to the listeners here, please know that you are not alone :)

Sending love and hugs <3

Thank you so much for your detailed reply!

He blames himself too. He said he doesn’t deserve me or his gf.

I never knew how needy I was until I met him. I’m tired of crying over him everyday.

i know I need to do these things. I’m hoping I can find the strength to do
