Long distance discrimination

Hello guys. I need help with my long distance relationship. So my bf (24) and I (23) met online during the lockdown last April. We didn’t meet on a dating site but kinda randomly. At that time I was living alone away from my family and was really depressed and anxious as all of my friends were back to their family houses and I was alone in the city. From the first days we started talking on the phone 24/7 (we would literally talk 10-12 hours daily) and started bonding quickly. I don’t really remember how we ended up in a relationship but I felt like I found my soulmate. The plan was that he’d travel to me after the lockdown but unfortunately my country didn’t open the borders to his country so we had to wait. My anxiety was really high that summer with everything going on (pandemic, loneliness and exams) and I was having panic attacks and scary thoughts. He was the only one helping me and I feel like I wouldn’t have made it without him. In November I had a serious panic attack leading me to the emergency room and after that I moved back with my parents cause I couldn’t be alone. He was really patient as he couldn’t call me anymore cause my parents didn’t know about him and I was giving him a hard time. He could only text me and I would call him when I was alone and often be cold with him cause I couldn’t handle my depression. So I’m Greek and Christian and he’s Egyptian and Muslim. My family lives in a village so they’re closed minded and religious and they still don’t know anything about him cause I’m too scared to tell them. I only told my sister and she was shocked with everything so that made me even more scared and I felt pressured and ended up breaking up with him. He was so hurt and was trying to get back together but I couldn’t handle the pressure. While broken up we kept contact and after 3 months apart we’re back together now. He makes me so happy and I just can’t wait to meet him. The issue is now he can’t travel due to the army and I can’t travel unless I talk to my family. I don’t know why I’m so scared to tell them even tho I have a very strong personality. He even told me he’ll take care of all the expenses of my trip. I need to mention that we were both planning before we met on moving to Canada after we graduate and that was one of the reasons we got together (cause we knew we can have a future). He hasn’t given me any red flags, he shares his location with me, he always has data on and answers my calls even if he’s out, he’s introduced me to his brother, aunts and friends, he gave me his credit card number to order a teddy bear that I wanted, he lets me know where he is and with who without me asking and many other good things. Also his financial state is a lot better than mine so there’s no way he’s with me for money. Has anyone been in a situation like that or has an advice? I know I have to man up and tell them but I’m too scared of their reaction. I’m sorry for the long message.

@tidyField3666 sorry that you're struggling I would just be honest with them LDR's are hard with covid it makes it harder but some people aren't understanding of LDR's but I am glad you're mindful of it Reddit does have an LDR community should check it out.

Thanks for your comment ❤️ I joined Reddit yesterday actually. I hope I’ll find the strength to tell them and travel to him
