Looking for advice...
How long can a relationship survive when you have completely different worldviews? Is it worth it to keep struggling through the differences?
Mine is still working from past 3 years. One thing I've realised is that every person is different. We can't claim that a person who we think is like us can't be different. I have just noticed one thing that if we accept each other the way we're and we have that mutual respect towards each other then it can definitely work. But yes, constant efforts are important but not to change each other. They're needed to create a balance and have that acceptance.
Just remember one thing. Never let someone bring you down. That level of respect is needed from both sides. ❤️🌻
@BalanceIsEverything90,
I agree with @Yougotmyback
Differences in themselves are not important. What matters is that you are both aware of what you truly feel for each other. Not what your thoughts and emotions tell you. What you feel when you look at your partner. Not romantic love, but unconditional love.
Unconditional love comes with mutual understanding. You might not agree but that is OK, you understand. You don't have to share everything (if you share nothing, well, than you don't have a bond). Actually, having differences can be a huge benefit. You both have your own space, your own interest you can pursue without being needy, expecting the other to be there for you. Feeloing you are obliged to meet your partners needs.
What better then talk about something that gets you enthusiastic, and a partner that responds to your enthusiasm?
If you keep on being aware, there might be a relationship that never gets bored or ends in the usual "there is no true love never was only romantic love and now I am unhappy" relationship. That happens all too often.
Warmth and love to both of you.
