Lost love

I dated a girl for 4 months in 2019, and I think she’s the only girl I’ve ever truly connected with in my life. We broke up and became friends for a while, we haven’t spoken in maybe 6 months or so, But I’ve been in love with her for the past two years, I need advice I think, do I tell her, I’ve tried letting her go but I just find myself thinking about her, will telling her that I love her help me move on? Or am I bottling my feelings up?

Hi @jdizzle494

Have you spoken with her yet? Why did you break up? And why have you not spoken in the past 6 months? I am guessing the first step might be to look realistically at those things, and get back in touch with her to talking at least. 😊

Bottling feelings up is not usually healthy or helpful. You can either talk to her about it or someone else, or both! To be in relationship we need to be able to communicate well about difficult subjects, so maybe you will at least find out whether that is possible?

Real care for another person and unhealthy attachment/infatuation can feel similar to some people, and talking about it is a great start to figuring it all out.
