Money Mayhem
Hello! I recently purchased a plot of land for about $10,000. I found the land, researched it and took the money out of our joint account to pay for the land.
I received a call that the city would like to purchase my land, and we should be making at least $100,000 off the sale of the land.
in return, I asked my husband for $10,000.00, out of the profit so I could continue to invest in property, stocks, etc. He is not into stocks or anything that involves high risk (especially gambling).
My husband did not like the fact that I asked for $10,000 of “our money” to use as “my own” to invest. Maybe he feels that if I get $10,000, then he should too?
In short, I am asking for the $10,000 because we would not have the extra money if it wasn’t for my purchase- kind of like a finders fee. I love the risk/reward and don’t want to have to run every purchase by him beforehand.
Am I wrong?

, I read your post, and I can identify with your issue so well. My husband and I go through this same stuff
. I feel as you do we are when it comes to money and how or what we do. I see you have the business head and your husband like mine feels more comfortable playing things safe. I understand that the Capital came from a smart business deal that you made that resulted in money that would never have been there in the first place. Oh, how much this relates to me too. I won't put my opinion on you but I will say, you are in a relationship and each with their own opinion. I think that you are a wise person and I think that you will find your answer within yourself. Trying to covey this to someone who does not think like a business mined person really does not understand, so don't be too hard on your husband
knows that you have both of you alls interests at heart. Some people are not risk-takers and that's alright too. I hope in some way I have been a help, or at least to let you know someone else has the same issue
