My First and Only Relationship ?
Hey !
I am 23 and i am in my first relationship, which started 7 months ago when I was 22. I "dated" him when we were 12 years old and we reconnected 10 years later. I have literally never dated, kissed or had sex with anyone except him. This has been a HUGE insecurity of mine since I was about 18...
Anyways, I am super happy in my relationship right now. I had a few doubts in the beginning because everything was new and I was overwhelmed. But everything has been going perfect for at least 2 months now. We always laugh together, we take care of each other and he always expresses how much he loves me. I am very much in love (I honestly thought it would never happen to me) and we both want to move out together before the next year. I even see myself having children and a future with him.
Even though I genuinely see myself spending my life with him, there’s always that little voice in my head saying “what if one day you want to experience with other people?” or “what if you end up spending your life with him, isn’t it weird that you only ever kissed ONE person”, etc. I think about it all the time.
I'm scared one day I will feel unfulfilled ? I know I shouldn't care about what other people think, but I'm scared others will think i'm a freak for only being with one guy. Apparently my boyfriend told his cousin I never had a boyfriend before and he was stunned by it because he didn't think it was possible at my age...
Please, tell me I'm not the only one in this situation? I feel like this is more common than I think, but I feel so alone. Everyone I know has had at least one highschool boyfriend or something.
How do you deal with the self-doubt?
I would love to hear your stories if you ended up marrying/having children with your first and only love and if you are still with them :)
I have felt like this in the past, and worried that the person I was seeing wouldn't be someone I would be seeing forever. But I learned that I would grow with them so it made me feel a little bit easier.

I am my boyfriend's first relationship, ever. Yeah, he had one night stands but never a serious/committed relationship before. It's been almost 2 years and he was 26, yes, 26 when we got together. You're not alone.
Hello, I’m proud that you are old enough to experience a relationship. Rather it is your first, second or third. I believe every relationship is an experience, You may have doubts about short or long term, because it is getting serious. I think it’s good you waited till you were older to be with your true love, no matter what others may think; you make the decision about your life.
