Premarital sex

Hello everyone, I have a question that keeps me thinking for quite some time, I am seeing a guy who told me that he has a son that he is not meeting because of circumstances with his mom, however he is supporting him in terms of finance. Everything works great between the two of us. But recently he told me he doesn’t want to have a premarital sex anymore because of what happened in the past, and now after two years of working on himself he feels like this is the right way. He is doing it also for the religious reasons. However I can’t help myself as I am confused between the fact if this is hypocritical from his side or if he just wants to be a better person. I have never been in this situation and I don’t know if I can potentially marry someone without knowing if it works sexually between us. Also I am not a very religious person, I was raised up in religious household, and I have my beliefs but I am not practicing much. What are your thoughts on this?, thank you so much for your time and help. I really appreciate your opinions, wish you a good day.

Hi @sensibleChestnut1682,

I understand you are confused, and it may not be a usual situation for you. But it's up to you and also him, being a religious or whatever thing a person decides is personal and we have to respect that. You may can talk or reason with him that's is that. If that's his boundary you have to respect it. It doesn't mean you have to agree or be for it, if you are not comfortable with the relationship or how the things works you can let them know and take a decision for yourself as well.
