Protective order

My husband has a very bad temper and has at times pushed me while we were arguing. I’ve become really afraid of him and so I files a protective order to get him to leave the house. Now I feel bad because he has nowhere to go. Did I do the wrong thing?

Did he apologises afterwards? If you feel safer now it's probably better. But maybe you could talk to him about the situation find a solution for him to handle his temper
