Recycling

I want an apology but I feel like I'm not going to get one. 🙄 I've been with my boyfriend for 3.5 years. We don't get into many arguments but when we do it's usually over something dumb. I refuse to sweep it under the rug and act like my feelings dont matter. Situation: He came over to spend time with me. It went great. He was leaving and I asked him to put a big box into our large recycling can outside because it was too big to fit in our inside one and he had to walk right by it to get to his car anyway. It was cold outside and I did not have a jacket on. He refused and claimed that I ask him to do it every time he leaves. Which I have definitely done in the past for the exact same reasons. I dont understand why he has an issue with doing it. He claims I ruined our good night. So now I've been given the silent treatment for 28 hours. I refuse to text first because I may be that petty. But I feel like I deserve an apology for that dumb crap. So yeah... thoughts?

Maybe have him do this favour first, then come back for a goodnight (and thanks) at the door? That way taking out the trash isn't the last memory of his visit for either of you.

Wow. So immature. It’s nighttime and dark and cold—he should be happy to take out the recycling for you. I’d say, What the hell is your problem? Honestly, if he can’t do something this easy what about harder things—like taking care of you when you’re sick, changing a future baby’s diaper in the middle of the night, helping you move heavy furniture or doing anything inconvenient to him for your happiness?!
