Seeking relationship advice
Hi, I'm looking for some advice. . I have been in an on and off relationship for about three years, we have been through a lot of hard times, this past year has been our first year living together, I seem to have an issue being 100% loyal 😓 to him, I want to be. I haven't cheated but sometimes I will talk and flirt with another man. . I'm not sure what's wrong with me,I think it has to do with the lack of affection and romance in our relationship.. It's almost none 🤷♀️ but we get along so well, I mean we fight too, but he loves me and I love him, I just don't know if I'm in love or attached to him because of the hard times we have been through 😏 I'm confused, and I'm ruining our relationship..
Hello, Think about what it is you want in a relationship? Is there a reason you can not be loyal ? Is he your safety blanket?
Girl... I have definitely been there. With my current boyfriend. We’ve been together for 6 1/2 years, going on 7 in a few months. Our relationship started off long distance so it was a rough start. Let me tell you, it’s so easy to feel the way you’re feeling. We live together now we’ve lived together for the past almost 3 years. When we weren’t living together I met another guy at work. We started talking and I was feeling every feeling me and my man had lost in our relationship. This new guy was showing me all types of affection and attention that just wasn’t there with my man. At the end of the day we always went back to each other cuz our love was/is so strong.. I ended up telling my man about the other guy and I broke the little “flirting” and all of that off.. Sometimes i feel like me and my man would be better off best friends than in a relationship.. We’re to alike so the affection part is weird for him I guess. Although he is very affectionate a lot of times.. Sometimes it still isn’t enough for me. All in all we will ALWAYS have that one that we just KNOW/ will go back to at the end of the day

No affection, no romance?
Might as well date Ted the plushy bear
Have you tried communicating with him about the lack of affection? They aren't the most fun conversations but sometimes they are neccesary so that you can understand things better. Putting your needs out on the table and getting your partner to understand where you're coming from and how you're feeling in a positive way can be very beneficial!
