Ok so I starting dating this guy last year, we knew each other for a month (spent like every day together) when I messed up. I slept with his baby momma and my ex bf. Shortly after I got back with my ex for a short period. Of course that didn’t work and I went back to this guy. I was starting to fall in love with him so one drunken night I told him what I did. He was pissed and it was hard to get him back but he took me back. We actually live together now, but he feels that since I did him so dirty and wrong (which I did I know) he should be able to do whatever he wants for a year or he can have two screws a year, and wants to screw my bestie without me there. I feel like we are a lot more into this relationship that it’s only going to mess it up more. I feel that he’s acting like a damn second grader. This isn’t tit for tat!! help me!!

No no no. Based on what I’m hearing here, I’m guessing you guys are not in an open relationship, and part of the parameters of your relationship agreement are staying faithful to one another? You didn’t hold up your end of the agreement and I’m sure he was hurt, but you apologized and he was willing to work things out. Are you comfortable with him sleeping with other people twice a year? Are you comfortable with him sleeping with your best friend? My personal opinion with the limited information I have is that this guy is asking you to allow him to blatantly disrespect you, which is extremely unhealthy. Cheating can give a person trust issues and require some effort on the unfaithful person’s part to earn back that trust, but he also has to work on forgiving you if he wants to stay with you. If the attitude of any person in a relationship is to feel they deserve to retaliate when hurt by hurting the other person in the same way, there’s no room for growth. You said it! “This isn’t tit for tat.”
