When he asks for space while we're LDR, how do I approach this?
My boyfriend and I have been going 3 years long distance now. The pandemic really stopped our plans to move in together and we've been trying to do weekly movie nights to keep up with each other. This has worked so far, but recently he has asked for some space because he doesn't feel that I am listening to him. This is the 3rd time this has happened and I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to improve this skill for him. I've been jumping hurdles to do better for him, but I don't think he notices.
How do I approach him with my concerns without sounding like I'm not listening to him again? I don't think he's hearing my side of the story at all. How do I cope while he's asking for "space" during an LDR relationship? It's harder each day to get up.

What sort of hurdles are you jumping for him? When we love someone we often give everything, sometimes too much. It concerns me that you feel he isn't noticing. I would say how you feel about your effort and ask for some feedback. A healthy relationship will be reciprocal.
