coping with cold girlfriend
hi everyone so i am currently in a long distance relationship with a girl (we are wlw) she has been depressed for a long time and acts really cold at times weve been dating for nine months and at first she was very sweet and caring but later on she started not reacting to anything i said, responding a lot later than usual and she doesn’t say anything sweet anymore.. i asked her yesterday if something was up and she told me that she needs space how do i interpret this? i asked if she was falling out of love and she responded with no but i don’t know if i should trust it because this entire day she seemed doing fine without me whilst i am sitting here hurting... what do u guys think

Sometimes our partners need their space to cope with whatever they are feeling. You mentioned that she has been depressed for a long time, so It is natural that she would dissociate from the relation for a while. It does not mean she is falling out of love. Rather, your understanding and patience during these times would only increase her appreciation for you. The best thing you can do in this situation is to let her know you are there for her, and that she can take all the time she needs.
Feel free to reach out if you wish to discuss this further :)

Agree with @gigantCloud92 . Give her some time to sort things out and let her know you are there for her. Sometimes keep pushing the answer will give relationship stress.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Self-care is important in a relationship, it brings a balance and healthy interaction with each other. Wish you the best.
