I dont know what to do with myself sometimes, i just need advice/words of courage

lst year i was going through an extremely difficult time with my partner

I was going through :the loss of a loved one, family abuse, borderline homelessness, and developing alcoholism just to name a few ..

and i missused social media so much that i was addicted to the false , empty sense of getting likes.

whenever i posted selfies on my Instagram i would always get men replying to me and trying to flirt/heart eyed emojis despite me having a partner

Looking back i feel so guilty and disgusted with myself for not blocking those random followers in the first place. Since then i have done all to change: i cut out negative friendships, deleted all social media accounts, cleaned up on drinking, refound god, and went to therapy. . but i have never told my partner what happened.

I know i was in the wrong for 'entertaining' these ppl. i just dont know what my next step is :/

In my opinion, I do think flirting can lead to cheating.

The whole social media thing is complicated. If you're posting sexy pictures intentionally to get men attention and flirt back with the men that messages you are on a very thin thin line.

Men have message me on all social media and most of the time I don't tell my boyfriend I block them right away. I definitely read the message because I'm curious and its flattering. The only ones I tell my boyfriend are the ones I had a past with. like every 6 months one of my ex boyfriends messages me on social media and I tell him.

In my eyes, you're definitely on the right track.

The only thing i can observe from the post it that you want to tell him so you don't feel guilty but also scared to tell him.

I've known women that did worse and never told there spouse, they are married and have kids now. If you are capable of holding a forever secret then go ahead. But for me I cant lie. If I feel guilty I bring it up right away. Because the longer I hold it in, the more stress and lack of sleep I get and I just dig a big big hole and become paranoid. I rather be honest and if they can't except it then maybe he's not the one.
