not in a relationship?
so some, if not, most of my friends are either talking to someone or in a relationship or slowly getting into a relationship. I'm 16 and about to get in senior year and I haven't been in a relationship or kissed someone yet. should I be ashamed of that? is it weird or stupid that I haven't been in one yet? I haven't found anyone who I really have a connection with or liked yet, but I feel this pressure that I'm falling behind because I'm not in a relationship and I need to be talking to someone or be in a relationship or be crushing someone and it just makes me ashamed of myself that I'm not in one yet and most of my friends are. I feel like I am falling behind in life and I am trying not to be so hard on myself. it just sucks at times I guess

I am new to this site.. my reasons to be here are completely different than yours, however...
I am a mom and I will say this, you are NOT weird. There is too much pressure to fit in and be a certain way, I agree. Be confident in yourself. I worked with a young man that was 20 and did not have a first kiss or gf yet. Absolutely nothing wrong with him. He decided to wait for someone special to him. That is admirable in my opinion. Sometimes things happen when you least expect it to. Enjoy your teenage years and don't sweat the small stuff. Years from now you'll look back and find humor in the things you let trouble you today.
