too soon?
we aren’t technically together but we’ve seen each other constantly for the past four months going on dates, and going to each others houses and we talk ab making it official but just haven’t yet. but last night we were just laying in bed talking and i was so close to telling him that i loved him, is it too soon? especially since we aren’t even official?

I have been in your shoes and to be honest, It is better to wait a bit. The ball is in your court but it might be better to ask him if you guys should make it official because you want that. It is important to communicate and ensure that you are on the same page.
As for telling him, you love him, might not be a good idea if you guys still aren't official despite talking about it. Try asking him where he stands and what he wants, and communicate your desires and/or expectations too.
