where did it go wrong.. ghosted

we’ve been on four dates (im 19F and he’s 21M) plus he came to my very small birthday party thing so technically we’ve hung out five times. we met off of hinge and i really grew to like him over the month that we’ve been seeing each other. we were texting somewhat consistently up and until three days ago when he suddenly stopped responding. it wasnt like the conversation had run dry either like he just stopped responding. i bit the bullet and decided to double text by asking him how packing’s been going because he’s leaving for korea for a month in three days, but that’s also gone unanswered. it just doesnt make sense to me… he had initiated all four dates paid for me.. been such a gentleman and he was very keen on getting to know me on a deeper leve. like up until three days ago everything was literally fine. the thing is he’s been updating his spotify playlist so he’s been on his phone clearly?? i understand he may be busy with preparing to fly out for a month but i feel like it’s not that hard to send a text saying he’s going to be busy for a bit and put my mind at ease??? we took pictures together on our dates and i look back at them and i look at his pure smile and im like that cannot have been fake?? i never got the chance to ask him about his relationship history but something tells me he hasnt had a lot, i havent had much either. idk.. i need opinions. im still hanging onto hope even though ive cried my eyes out for something that i feel like i shouldnt have been this affected over. i like him … i dont want to believe that ive been ghosted. but have i?? is he just busy packing?? he’s not really the texting type but idk.
