Birth Control
Hi! Ive been on birth control for a year but recently had to switch bc of insurance. This pill has a slightly higher doasge of hormones. Its been 5 days and im already an emotionol wreck, breaking out, and having cramps. Any tips?

Go see your doctor. In theory you should be fine even if the dosage is lower. And if you took birth control pills for 1 year, rest assured since it will take months for the “old birth control” to get out of your sistem.
If you are stating that her previous birth control is still keeping her safe then that is a false statement. Birth control pills are only effective as long as they're being taken properly. She isn't taking the old one anymore so it's not protecting her from pregnancy anymore. The new one will protect her as long as it's being taken properly. I'm not fussing, just clearing up any miscommunication for anyone else with questions who might stumble upon this thread. Birth control pills are a finicky thing and a daily commitment, and like any other contraceptive, is most effective when combined with other contraceptive methods, such as barriers, foams, and cycle tracking.
