Forum for virgins: feeling alone
Hello,
I am 26 and a virgin. Have struggled with a lot of social anxiety. The hard part is not really the lack of sex or pleasure, because I masturbate, whatever. The hard part is the intense internalized shame and mockery from friends and family I normally trust. I would really like to talk to some other virgins about the feeling of loneliness, anxiety, and shame. Hearing sexually active people talk about sex in a way that is nonchalant is very alienating, like making jokes about bottoms and tops, assuming I've had sex, treating me like a child when they find out I'm a virgin or have social anxiety. Also the assumption that sex is only about pleasure and not about an emotional connection to the partner. :( :(
Anyway I have a lot of feelings. I just want to talk to other virgins so we can feel our feelings together.

@Daydreamer47 Hello Day, thank you for sharing this with us. It mustn't have been easy because as you said, society is so judgmental about it. If it makes you feel any better, I am a virgin too, and I think there is nothing wrong with it. Sex, as you said, is not just for pleasure, but is also a sign of a deep emotional connection. So you haven't had yours yet, so what?
