Is watching porn bad????
I have habit of watching porn videos and doing sex chat with unknown guys. I do these whenever i get bored. My husband doesn't know this. Is this bad?? Is it taboo??
@Hello365
I think your question is both a matter of normality and morality. It's normal to watch porn and even have sex chats. Whether doing that while you are married is right, wrong or taboo, is probably a question of morality that you have to decide yourself.
What do you think?
@Hello365 no.
I've found that my husband is watching porn on his cell phone. I dropped hints that I know then I continued to find it. So I confronted him and he said he didn't know what I was talking about. Giving him the benefit of that doubt I let it go. Tonight I asked him to user his phone and checked his history and I found more. Just thinking about it causes me anxiety and makes me feel terrible inside. I am insecure with myself I'm definitely who I was when we met 21 years ago. He is 46 about 6 months ago I asked why we dont have sex anymore he finally told me he's having trouble ED because he had a lot on his mind. Week later was when I found the porn I thought maybe he was working at it. Finally I started

i had a similar situation with my fiancé. I am currently pregnant with our second baby and I found porn on his phone. It made me feel horrible. I have put on a lot with this baby and it made me feel extremely bad about myself. He said it had nothing to do with me and that it was just for his own personal needs. We haven't been intimate as much as we'd like to be but this really got to me. He said he didn't mean for me to see it. I asked him if it was okay for me to watch porn for my needs and obviously he didn't like that thought. I understand that the majority for the men watch porn and it is considered normal. But I was very hurt by this and what hurt more was him making me feel crazy for feeling this way.

I found the website rowboatandmarbles very informative for what I was feeling and why. Maybe it would be helpful to you too?
It can destroy relationship's and the bond you both share just because couples haven't had sex or anything for awhile doesn't mean nothing it's not always about the bedroom stuff its also being with one another sharing companies some people are okay with there other half doing it some are not okay with it and hurts deeply and some couplqs break up over it it just depends how you feel about it and what are the reasons the men do it for some do.it for the attention or cause there partner is pregnant put on weight changed or they don't feel attracted to ya it all comes down to sitting down with that person and discuss how it makes you both feel and where you both stand in my life that is a huge NO NO and it I'd not tolerated at all I got the perfect fiancée cause he rather choose me and do things with me he sees me as the only girl in the world for me talk to your partners tell them how u feel
@Hello365
Is watching porn bad? Well the answer is subjective and no one else can tell you what's good or bad for you, only you can do that. That being said, I believe if it's not hurting anyone and you're happy with what you're doing then go for it, and absolutely anything can apply to this. It's the same thing with sex chat, again if no one is getting hurt and you're happy with it, it's subjectively a good thing.
@Hello365
Porn is watched basically to derive sexual pleasures and fulfill sexual desires and fantasies. Given that you are already married, its expected that your husband is sexually satisfying you in all its aspects. If this is not so then that's a completely different story. However, if you are watching porn and engaging in sex chats despite him satisfaying you sexually, then that's a pretty bad thing on your side. Moreover, doing this without letting your huband know is yet more worse.
Another aspect of watching porn is that porn is addictive. Its well proven that porn is addictive and having a habit of watching it can never let you experience the equanimous state of mind. Porn can never bring calmness and composure in life. It definitely can give you sexual pleasures, but at the cost of healthy mind. By term "healthy mind", I imply calm and equanimous mind free from any addictions.
To conclude, the question is not really whether porn is morally justified or not. Irrespective of whether watching porn is morally right or wrong, the core aspect of it is understanding the biologically adverse effects of watching porn on our minds.

@Pious
Someone can still have a fulfilling sex life and watch porn. In fact, many couples enjoy watching it together! What sickos, huh?!
In all seriousness, she wasn't asking what you thought about porn in general. She wanted to know if it was taboo since she is married and her husband doesn't know. I found what you said judgmental and advice giving. Two of which are big no no's as a listener for 7cups.
It's fine to be pious, just remember you're on a site that supports many different opinions and beliefs. That needs to be respected here.
@TrueArrow
I didn't objected watching porn together with spouse, what I objected to is watching it by hiding that from spouse. Its bad I think universally even on 7 cups. Hardly will anyone support or encourage watching porn secretly. This perfidy is not good
@TrueArrow
thanks for understanding my concern.
@Hello365
I think taboo isn't what she needs to concentrate on. I believe a deeper examination of your feelings and urges and actions derived from the two is necessary. Are you pleased by the results? If yes, no further discussion is necessary, it's simple really. If no, then we have a moral obligation to decide why and that will determine your answer. See, just because you're married doesn't mean the individual is gone and some new symbiotic lifeform has emerged. So it's ok to have a private sex life that is just for you. The notion that marriage is the standard by which all things should be considered and measured is absurd! Do you ask what would my husband think of my choice in soft drinks? Or underwear? Or books you read? Hell no! So why is what you masturbate to and how you come to orgasm in the realm of the all knowing spouse? Really!? So, if you are ok with it, and you are because you practice it, (and so we must deduce some form of rationale has gone into the decision you've made) then who are we to judge? Does your husband ask if it's ok he wants it to a porn on his phone in the John at work?! Hell no! He just does it. So, why the double standard?
@Hello365 i am ekant and i also like to watch xxx movie and doing sex
@Hello365 I think the important question here is do you feel is bad for you, what it could be good for one person it could be bad for other person. So the questions you should be asking yourself is how do you feel about it. Personally I dont like porn cause, when you watch porn usually involves watching watching a couple doing it, and you watch other guy with his junk... so I dislike that part.. and I find it uterly boring.. also porn it might create a role model for you of how sex should be... I used to watch soft erotic movies when I was younger. So this is my message this is your life, meaning dont let others dictate of how you should be living your life, instead, choose what you like, and let yourself be the judge of what is good and bad for you.
Watch porn is not bad, but it's better to have real sex, [edited by Anomalia to remove advertising link]
This probably sounds weird but I do it for the feeling since I need that release. It
