Let's Talk about Sex :-)
Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself...I am dually licensed as a Supervising Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC-S) and a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). I am also a nationally certified Sex Therapist through AASECT, and a PhD candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have extensive training in individual, relationship-based, and sex therapy approaches and treat a wide variety of clinical concerns including general anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, co-parenting in the face of divorce, adolescents facing divorce in their family, grief and loss, abuse and trauma, maternal depression, self-esteem and body image concerns, as well as ways to gain assertiveness and self-empowerment. I specialize in treating sexual health concerns, including sexual dysfunction in both men and women, paraphilias, sexual abuse and trauma, sexual fetishism, sexually compulsive behaviors across the lifespan, pelvic pain, infertility, infidelity, and gender identity exploration. I am a LGBTQ friendly therapist and I am open to working with individuals from all walks of life, races, spiritual/religious affiliations, and cultural identities. If you have a sexual issue, feel free to contact me. I would love to help!
Thanks for sharing. My issue is that I would feel alienated/alone in sex therapy or sex workshop, because a lot of times I have seen it just as "sex is fun" or only focus on physical pleasure instead of acknowledging some people have a deeper idea of the thing.
