Pushing my S/O away when I want to be closer

I constantly push my s/o away when she’s feeling down because of the lack of attention I get, it comes in different forms but we’ve recently had a large argument when it came to masturbating by myself (when we’ve multiple times discussed the fact of if I showed my interest she’d have been on top of it), but I consistently do it despite her obvious distaste for it - I do love her, but inhibitions usually go out the window when it comes to that compulsion. I’ve stopped since the argument but we’ve agreed I should seek help on this. Any comments welcome.
