4 years too long
Dear Ex/ Baby Daddy ,
I gave you for 4 years of me , i gave you 4 years of me , i gave you me , i gave you a son , i gave you so much
i loved you , i still love you eventhough i shouldn't. i still miss your touch
its been 2 months and i didn't realized how much i loved you even though you don't deserve me or us
i gave you hope, i gave you purpose , i gave you a family , i gave you me .
but what did you give me ?
you gave me a punch to the face, kick to the belly , you gave me disrespct, you gave me self loath ,you gave me her and her again, you gave me miscommunication, you gave me anger, you gave me dependeancy, you gave me you
you gave me the love you only knew, you gave me hope of a family, you gave me love as toxic can be
4 years we gave and gave but yet we couldn't give ourself to each other
4 years too long

Your words carry so much pain, I can feel the weight of everything you’ve given, and how deeply you’ve loved, even when it wasn’t reciprocated. It’s heartbreaking to hear how much you sacrificed, only to be met with hurt and betrayal. You’re right: you did give him everything, your love, your trust, even a family. And yet, what he gave back was nothing short of cruelty. That’s not love; that’s control. You’re holding a lot of grief for what could’ve been, and that’s okay. But I also hear a quiet strength in your words, You know he didn’t deserve you. You know you shouldn’t still love him—but love doesn’t turn off like a switch, especially after 4 years. That’s not weakness; that’s just being human.
What’s one thing—even a tiny one—that feels “yours” again now that you’re no longer drowning in his toxicity?"
"Thank you for sharing your story. I can imagine how painful that must be. Just want to remind you that you are not alone in this, and healing takes time. Keep being kind to yourself. I'm here to listen."
