Afraid I might lose a friend
Had breakfast with a friend this morning and I pretty much complained about my week to her and didnt enjoy the time she set aside for me.
I feel really ugly and I did apologize to her but when I asked if she wanted to hang out later she said she had other plans. I hope she didnt just tell me that so she wouldnt have to see me.
My anxiety from past relationships/friendships get the best of me.
Any advice is welcomed. Thank you.
@Kawaiiqueeenie
She told you that politely to sort out her own hurt feelings...if she is your friend she will allways come back and hear you...in the end she doesn't mind, we all recover from emotional blows andwe let our friends or loved ones do it, even if it hurts, we recoverš. I can bet the money I don't have that your friend will be there again and breakfasts will get betterš
@Kawaiiqueeenie Hi there! It sounds like you are going through a lot right now! It can be difficult to share that with someone else, so I'm very proud of you for telling us all of that today. It sounds like a challenging time that you had earlier today with your friend earlier. It sounds like you two are great friends and that is wonderful! Sorry to hear about your negative experience with prior relationships as well, that can complicate situations even more because of what you think of when you go back to those memories. While I can't give you any advice because I don't know the two of you personally - have you been able to re-connect with that friend since? It seemed like you were very comfortable with being able to open up to her in a setting like that, so it seems you are close. I hope that you can smooth things over and get a better understanding of each other. Have a good rest of your day! <3
