Being unsure about your feelings

While chasing after my partner's feelings I completely lost my own. I don't know if I love them, I don't even know what I feel about anything...
Anyone who had this problem, how did you handle it?

@redGrapes8634 unfortunately, I don't have an answer, because I'm feeling exactly this way. I broke up with my SO because I thought he was not the right man for me, but then I was thinking that maybe the problem was I don't love him. I don't know how I feel about him, actually. Eventually we got back together but I still have so many doubts.

@littleGlobe8648 As for me, I was supposed to help our relationship survive through my SO's mental issues, and instead I came across a question if I even love them, which is weird, because I was sure about my feelings a week ago...

Nevertheless, feel free to message me to talk about this topic❤

My friend there will always be doubt in relationships but you must be willing

to give love a chance. Believe it or not love is not a feeling thing and I believe

this is what get most people in trouble in a relationship. Love is based off of being

there for one another and having someone to help share in your ups and downs. If

a person support you and care for you and treat you with respect and dignity you can

not actuallyexpect much more from the relationship. Love can be just like a flower it

takes time for it to grow and to reach it maturity. Storms often come and set back the growth

process but it does not mean that it will not grow and reach it maturity. Hang in there my friend

and I hope there is something that I said might help you in the near future.

Well, I had to learn how to find my own happinest insted of trying to

get my happiness from my wife. In the beginning I would go way out

of my way for her to be happy and it appeared to me that she was not

that appreciate of the love I was giving her all in the process of me neglecting

myself. So, after about seven years of marriage I begin to learn to find

ways to make myself happy. Like I would begin to put things in lay - away

so that I could gradually pay it out. It gave me so much pleasure to finally

be buying myself something instead of spending every penny on the family.

My friend it only take simple things in life to help change your situation and

to begin to feel the warmth and happiness around you. I hope my story can

help you in some way. I wish you nothing but the best my friend

@Favor2020 Love this response. So proud of you for your growth! For learning how to care for yourself too, and not only others.

I too have tendencies to help others and neglect myself. I learned, though, that it is no ones responsibility to make sure I'm okay except myself.

And if my cup is not full, I can't share anything with others.
