Comparing myself to others during the Panny
Hello, I've been struggling with low self esteem and lack of confidence lately. Its beginning of it's making me feel needy and clingy in my relationship. My boyfriend expressed that he does not feel like I am needy and that he feels it is okay for me to need him. But I don't like feeling clingy. One way I feel this is manifesting itself, is through the way I compare myself to his friends. He has successful friends that he talks to everyday. I start to want more of my boyfriend's attention and begin to fear that I am not enough for him. I know thats not the case, but whenever I compare myself to his friends I feel inadequate and undeserving of his love. In the past, my boyfriend has prioritized his friends over me a few times. He ended dates early to see them, took hour long phone calls during hangouts, and even respected their boundaries much more than mine. It was a problem, WAS but now he is doing great. He has been doing great for months now honestly but I cant seem forgive hom or feel like he likes his friends more than me. Maybe this is less about the ways I compare myself to his friends. And more about my inability to forgive him for these past mistakes. Either way, I would love some advice on how to stop comparing myself to others and forgive my boyfriend for his past mistakes? Thank you, R
