Cutting him out because of developed feelings..

I used to work with this guy. And we both left our job and moved onto other things. I've brought up the idea in the past that I have feelings, but he says he is not in a place where he can date right now. The thing is, when we did work together, he was very flirty. We actually talk on messenger almost everyday. But he never brings up the idea of us hanging out. And I haven't seen him since the job. Which was a couple weeks ago. And when I message him back, It will say he's online, but wont respond. Or even read it. I've gotten pretty good at actually not initiating any conversation at all, and he does the reaching out. But the thing is...the more we talk, the more they grow. He remembers every little detail about me. My hobbies, even my family, who he hasn't even met. But its almost like..he wont budge. And it hurts. It hurts that I have feelings for him and I can't be anything with him..

So now, I'm on the fence about completely blocking him for good..so I guess I'm coming for advice. Is that healthy? Just to completely cut him cold turkey?
