Ended by a text message - I need some advice

Long story short. My ex-partner finished our relationship by a text message 13 months ago. We haven't spoken since. For the last 12 months, I swear I have been trying and doing the best I can to move on - going out with friends, developing new hobbies, attending Yoga classes. I packed all his stuff and moved house as well. But after a year, I thought I should be in a better place, after all I feel I am still constantly being haunted or traumatized by treated as a piece of text message after 7 years. I couldn't help doubting every thing, moment and word. I feel I am truly being ghosted by this text. I know I should go and talk to him to finish this unfinished business. He still has stuff at my place and mine are still at his. I just feel the longer time I take, the more I am afraid to be hurt again. I also don't understand why. I pretty much feel I have been thrown to a deep, dark hole all of sudden 13 months ago and since then I have been doing everything to crawl out of it. Sorry, I probably should write more in details about how exactly it happened but I am feeling quite chaotic about half of me is trying best to be positive in front of friends and family and the other half when I am alone, I just feel lost and desperate.

I am sorry about what happened to you, its a confusing thing I understand. It is traumatizing experience. If I were in your place, I would be confused, I totally feel the void you have. I wish I can do something for you.

I wish for you to gradually get over it, I know you are trying, but things can be confusing and lost at times. I have been through breakups and its painful, and I sympathetise with you.

love,

Raimal

@maxisacat Hi, I'm very sorry to hear about your breakup. A relationship breakup can be very hard, no matter what the situation. I just want to let you know that it is OK to feel sad, angry, or disappointed after a breakup - many people do. Also, it can take some time to get over the loss of a relationship. After a breakup, many people experience a range of difficult feelings, such as sadness, anger, or guilt, which can leave them feeling rejected, confused, or lonely. In fact, some people feel like their world has been turned upside down and that things will never be good again. It may be tempting to try to get over a breakup as soon as you can, but it takes a little time, work and support. In the end, everything will get better with time, even though life may not be easy now. Be proud of how you've been handling this for quite some time now. I salute you for being strong, and I'm glad you've posted about how you feel. Hang in there, my friend. You CAN do this. I believe in you. However, if you ever feel like you need to talk to someone about how you feel, please drop me a message. I just want to let you know that you are not alone in this buddy 💛

@maxisacat

I am so, so sorry about this, heart break can be one of the most painful things that many people face in their lifetime. It sounds like you are doing everything right, and I can understand that feeling of thinking that you should be feeling of, as you said, thinking you should be in a better place. I know how frustrating that is, but I know you will get there! There is no time line for these things, unfortunately, but you are doing great <3 I really appreciate you sharing this.
