Ever been scared of falling in love?

I think when you are hurt in a prior relationship love always seems to become harder (less accessible) - you have to make yourself that vulnerable again and you fear being hurt again. I think many people also fear 'starting over' - I think it takes a lot out of someone to keep opening up to different people and making themselves vulnerable and to rebuild all over again. I believe that if it's not working out, there's no use in forcing it. A fresh start can be a relief, an opportunity to do it the right way, to feel the love and happiness you deserve to feel but i think the struggle is letting go of what no longer serves you - what is no longer good to you or for you - I think a lot of the time we do know what is best, but we fear change and starting over. Rebuilding trust is also a big one - trust someone after you've been burned, even trusting yourself with your own-well being can be hard - but overall, the listeners at 7 cups are here to get you through it and support you. I don't think we fear falling in love, I think we fear everything that comes with meeting someone and putting ourselves out there and the possibility of getting hurt. I don't think we should fear love - love should be kind and supportive and respectful and should make us feel good. I think that's what true love is - it makes us happy. It helps us grow in all the right directions.
