I imagine I'd feel a bit confused about his relationship to them, but it depends exactly on that. If they were friends, I may not worry as much but this hugely depends on context. What's more important: how do you feel about it?

I'm not okay with it at all. I asked him how would he feel if the rolls were reversed and his response was he wouldn't be okay with it
