Having a hard time with my girlfriends mental illness

My girlfriend has Dissociative disorder and has been extremely hard for me to deal with. Been with her four years now and cant find myself leaving her. She had a bad childhood and now at the age of 32 the effects are still there. The disorder causes her to switch to a child like. So many things can trigger her like feeling tired, pain, being alone for too long, yelling, and any type of intimacy. Its not her fault at all! Its just been extremely hard on me. My self esteem is low due to the lack of intimacy. Its almost like she doesnt want to get past her issues. I suggested therapy which she is doing but only I brought it up. She is a sweet person but watching her go through so much pain saddens me. But I wish there was more effort for the sake of our relationship
