Help!?!
My husband and I have been together for 10 years. He is a wonderful husband and father and truly my best friend. However, throughout our relationship there have been ups and downs just like any relationship. I personally have a very low self esteem resulting from a lifetime of ridicule and put downs from my family and a previous marriage (which I have since removed from my life). My husband of 10 years has been the 1st person who has ever believed in me and made me believe in myself finally. However, because of my jilted past I've lumped him with the rest of the horrible people I have dealt with before him. I see every person he talks to, especially other women as a direct threat and begin the self sabotaging mindset that I'm not good enough and what little self esteem I have built gets thrown out the window. We had a point about 6 months ago that because of my over emotional behavior we felt it best to separate. But did finally work things out are currently back together. When we were separating though he became friends on FB with a girl, according to him, is just some stupid girl he went to school with. However, she is constantly commenting on his page and even throws her 2 cents in on topics he and I post about together. I see it as being over bearing on her part but maybe I'm the one being over bearing and over thinking. When I tried to talk to him I got "get over it, she's someone I hardly known" and he deleted me. Should I be worried?
@Scaredandconfused1 It's alright to be worried some but it can't feel good to have it overwhelm you. People have close friends they aren't in a relationship with. All that anger may come out of being hurt so badly before. Maybe you can do some work on that and pay attention to your own needs. Where your next step on your path should be. If you can increase your vision of self-worth you won't feel as threatened. You ARE deserving of love and kind attention. You have made a difference in many people's lives and for that you deserve many things. You are not what has hurt you, you are a gorgeous human being. I send my love to you.
@RobinSenseney Thank you for your kind and uplifting words. I must begin the path to healing myself and moving in a positive direction. Again, thank you. You truly brought a smile to my face.
@Scaredandconfused1 Thank you for your kind words! Beginnings are all you'll ever need!
