How do I do a better job communicating my problems?
To preface, I have ADHD and also struggle with other things like anxiety. Because of that I have a frustrating tendency to do things like procrastinate, forget things, and space out. Some of my friends lightly tease me for it which leads me to believe their intention isn’t to be malicious. However, i’ve explained a few times that my ADHD and mental health hinder my ability to do things or at least do them in a timely manner or “properly”. But in spite of that it feels like I’m still being held to the standard of people who don’t struggle with my same issues. If not that, i feel like i’m not being taken seriously. I love my friends, but it’s becoming draining.
How can I have them take me more seriously? I want to communicate my problems and have them understand i’m more sensitive than they are but i don’t want to burden them with a million rules and conditions all in order to make sure they don’t hurt my feelings.

I am not sure if it will work, but you can find some literature on ADHD online or in paper form and review it with them. Your friends can also play a vital part in helping you getting the things done. They can help send reminders, check in texts (ex: don't forget about the exam/test/assignment on date/time). Also, if they have tips and strategies, they could also share that with you. In this way, you are not doing it alone, and it becomes a group effort. While you are finding literature on ADHD, you could also note any strategies they may have to help keep focused and organized.
