So there's this guy I work with, and we have always been friendly. Let's call him D. He came into our store cause he's work for the company before along with him also being friend with someone who already works with us. Let's call this person A. About a month and a half ago I started falling for D. It was kinda out of no where to me at the time. D and I went out for drinks one night after my 21st birthday. Where I explained I wasn't really into this hockey player like it might come off to be. D then asked me who I was really into and I explained haven't had luck in finding anyone since my ex since she really messed me up, and that I try not to because of the emotional abuse I went through. Which I don't think helped this situation at all. I feel like I should have been honest there. I told his friend A about a week and a half ago that I was into D. He said he figured and that he would figure out if it was mutual. Which I thought it was since D always wanted to take me places, and even invited me back out for drinks after I got back from my trip. Before my trip last week A told me that D only liked me as a friend after they talked. A told me as well that D thinks I'm into him. A and this other person I work with have seen D flat out flirt with me and us have these moments, they even both think he might be lying and actually have feeling for me. I haven't felt this way about someone since my ex which was more then a year ago now. D was really happy to see me, when I went in yesterday to go grab something. Should I try to talk to D so it doesn't become awkward, or should I just let it be, and if it's supposed to happen it will? I don't know what to do. I work with him twice this week, and it's not like we can do anything because where we live we are in shelter and place so we can only see each other at work and he's not great about texting. Any help would be great.

@KarenM40

It can be difficult to express how we feel romantically to others. There are two outcomes that you may want to consider.

The first is that D may have wanted to keep other people out of your business. When the time was right, he may have wanted to speak with you in person.

The other is that he may be shy himself and may also be having trouble expressing how he feels. However, he may be good at showing it in his actions. They seem to appear that he might be interested in a relationship with you based on how he is wanting to take you out etc.

You mentioned that he is not good at texting. Maybe he is more into speaking on the phone or video chatting. It may be a good idea to gage what kinds of ways he prefers to communicate.

I hope this helps! If you wish to speak about this further, feel free to messege me on 7 Cups!

Best of luck!
