Speaking from expierence it cant be very hard to decide what to do, sometimes ignoring canmake things worse but so can answering the phone. When i was in those situtaions i would send a text message letting him know that it is probably best to have some space before trying to communicate again, this may not go over well but it is very hard to communicate with someone who is angry and fired up, its also very hard to address that someone has an anger issue becvause they often find it hard to accept or see but it is something that needs to be address so it doesnt get worse, it will be hard but you need to be strong and stand your ground and let him know that you wont be treated a certain way.
