I'm not rebounding... am I??

I recently split with my partner of 15 years.Things weren't great, I felt like the relationship was dead for some time but never had the strength say something before things escalated. Once we did break up, I felt confused and upset,purely because of the unknown that lay ahead. I actually feel relieved that it's now over.

A month later I found myself on a well known dating site. I was contacted by several flirtatious women but I wasn't interested. I then came across one woman. Upon seeing her pictures I felt a lump in my throat that I'd never felt before. I couldn't stop thinking about her. After a week, I got up the courage to say hi. We IMMEDIATELY began the most natural conversation I've ever had. I explained my situation, and I made the decision to NOT arrange a date but to spend time on WhatsApp chatting,We spoke constantly for 2 months, then we moved to facetiming. By this point we both admitted developing silly feelings for each other .Another month later,met this weekend. It was amazing. So natural, no nerves or awkwardness. I legit feel like I've known her my entire life. We have shared a lot and both feel like we are falling for one another.

People think I'm rushing things. I have no hang ups over my ex.I've taken nearly 3 months getting to know this person. Am I rebounding? Or are people assuming that ,because it's so soon after my breakup? I am being very patient, and feel this is the real deal. Can anyone relate?

i dont think you are rebounding, it might just seem that way because of how soon it is. If the relationship was dead and you truly have a connection with this woman then I say go ahead.

@luciouslemon

Thanks for your kind words.

This relationship may or may not be 'the one'. But if I don't go for it, I will never know ☺️
