My boyfriend of 7 months and I just broke up teo days ago. Neither if us really want to part ways, but he has underlying issues he needs to work on. After his broken engagement years ago, he doesn't know if he can ever feel love with me. So, he felt like he was missing something. Something he could find in someone else. I'm willing to look past the cheating as it never developed past trivial messages, but what is the right thing to do? I fell in love with this man. I so badly want to walk with him through his struggles to find himself. But what if I do and it's all for nothing? What if he fixes himself and comes to realize that I'm just not it? I dont know where to go right now.

@Captainfiveous

You are incredible every last bit of you on the best days, the poorily days. I'm so sorry to hear about your broken heart. I know right know it's in bits but it will get better, you will love again- you deserve love in abundance! The strength it takes to walk away from love when every thing in you wants to stay but you knowits not what's right for you- is immeasurable. It takes courage because you know in the process your heart will be broken too. But you will heal. Maybe not tomorrow, or this week, month or year. But you will.

It isn't a selfish thing to do what is right for you. Good people, people who are so used to putting others first tend to go through an immense guilt when putting themselves first. Let go. Let go of the guilt, it's going to hurt because it meant something. Be proud of what you accomplished together. It's a true sign of how much you care for each other to let the other live the life they need too. Allow yourself to cry + break and then build. Build the life you deserve lovely. You are surrounded with people ready to help if you need them. Love surrounds you. You are going to get through. Hope today is a lovely one heart
