I regret breaking up with him

I was dating someone for two months and I wasn’t ready to make it official, so I ended things and told him I was too busy with work and school. Now it’s two weeks later, and I realize I made a mistake. I miss him. I told him how I felt and he says he still likes me, but he realized that he’s not ready for a relationship either and we can be friends. He said maybe we can date in the future. I feel so rejected
