I think I have been catfished
I met this guy online who said he was in the Coaat Guard and stationed in Miami. Shortly after he was deployed and just got back over the weekend. Our relationship has been mostly text messages and one phone call. During this time I gave him (stupidly I now know) $1800 to help pay for some bills. I have been given excuse over excuse why I cant have the funds.
What at should I do? I have cried over me being so stupid knowing I probably will never see the money.

Im really sorry to hear this, it's a horrible feeling when you have invested so much time, care and trust in the wrong person. I really hope you get your money back, but if im honest, I very much doubt it. Just try and learn from this experience, but don't let it take away your kind and thoughtful nature.
This happened to me, I was chatting with someone on line for quite a long period of time and I thought we had became friends, they got into a bit of trouble and I helped them out financially, needles to say the friendship didn't go beyond this point, in fact the next time we spoke, it wasnt very nice and i somehow ended up being the bad person. I felt completely terrible, I questioned every aspect of my character, it put me off trusting anyone again, especially new people I meet, and I'm still like this today.
Regarding you, don't be too hard on yourself, it doesn't really solve anything, just remind yourself that someone took advantage of your kind heart. Hope your feeling better soon x
