Its a Mans World

Im a 19 y/o Female. Im smart, good at learning and just as qualified at this as the others, but i get looked over at my church because Im a girl.

Im a qualified graphic designer; everyone knew when I was doing the course, because at that age (15) people ask about plans or careers. Now Im looking into being a Mechatronics Engineer, because that would indulge my recently discovered love of robotics. Mechatronics teaches mechanical, electrical and software engineering, triple threat haha.

With my cert 4 in graphic design, people assume Im "academically challenged", and they put me in the girl-who-is-good-at-drawing box. This is annoying with women, because they tell me about how their niece who is also good at drawing but sucks at math (good for her, lady - i dont care) but its even WORSE with men because they dont consider me for things like setting up the light systems (we use 14 pixastrips, 2 motion lights and 8 cans - looks hecking dope w the smoke machine), or even just putting things together.
