Lack of communication

Okay so me and my girlfriend have been dating for almost 3 months now but we don't talk that much and she lives in Rhode Island whilst I live in Oklahoma. I'm not sure what to do. I like 2 other people and I want to pursue a relationship with them. Maybe we could try an open relationship? Although I'm not sure that would be a good thing. I just want to pursue other people and other options instead of being tied down to someone who isn't even in my state. I like her I really do, but I'm not sure it's going to work out for us. I'm just having a lot of doubts about us and I need some advice. So stay with her and try to work things out or pursue a different relationship with someone local?
